Our go-to bbq spot in Sunnyvale! After golfing we usually come here for outstanding bbq! Definitely hits the spot with their smoked meats, and they have the best pork skin cracklings. Old saloon feels, indoor and outdoor bar, and friendly staff! Service is amazing as they often checked on us!

Another hidden gem for the books. I was definitely not expecting the restaurant to be tucked away near a golf course. There is a parking lot, but make sure to not park so close to the golf course in case you don't want your car to get hit with golf balls. There's plenty of seating outside and inside the saloon. It definitely gave off Old West vibes with the interior decor and music. Service was friendly and prompt. They have quite an extensive menu which I was excited to see, but was also a bit overwhelmed. Food: * Loaded Tots: The cheese stole the show. The tots were crispy and hot 9/10 * Smokehouse Nachos: The cheese and jalapeños were the main characters. One of the best nachos I've had in awhile. 10/10 * Chicken Wings: They were okay. We ordered the Thai chili sauce and it tasted more sweet than spicy. 6/10 * 1/2 lb Brisket Plate: The brisket was moist, tender, and fell apart easily. The complimentary sauces were sooo good- I could've dipped anything in them. * 1/2 Rack of Ribs Plate: Ribs were delicious and nicely seasoned. Not dry whatsoever. 10/10 Will be back soon!

For a golf-course located BBQ? Old Greenwood isn't shabby, and if I'm playing on the course itself it's actually better than average. It's a serve-yourself kind of locale so once you're done ordering up front just find something in the ample seating area and wait for your beeper to go off. Smooth service that does their best and convenient setup. I was familiar with their foodtruck and wanted to give their OG location a try to see if it was better. Overall, pretty similar to that offering but with more variety as the foodtruck. It's not bad, but not knocking your socks off either. There are definitely better BBQ options out there so if you're making your way out of the way I'd advise otherwise. I'd place the food at about 3.5, but given the premises and good service I'm happy bumping it up a smidge. ==Hot link - 5/5 This was a solid hot link and not lacking in heat in the slightest. ==Brisket - 3/5 The brisket was decent, certainly smoky and (mostly) fork tender, but not too moist. Had me needing to douse it in bbq sauce pretty quick, so doesn't quite pass the no-sauce test. Sides were...okay. Fries were crisp, but the collard greens were seriously watery to the point it was more like soup. ==Burger - 4/5 Burger was also good with a good sear, but despite them asking for meat temp it was basically cooked to well done. Bit strange to ask for a temp and then just...ignore it. That said the burger was fine and the crumbly cheese added that nice umami oomph. Coleslaw was also light and refreshing so good complement.

Quality, fair priced food that was delicious and served with quality sides and good tap soda

Located next to Sunken Garden Golf Course, OG BBQ is a convenient place to dine after your 9 holes. For my foursome we went for lunch after a round of golf and ordered the Family Pack of Ribs for $56 which feeds 2-4 people and includes 1 full rack of ribs, 3 pint sides (BBQ Beans and Bacon, Collard Greens, and Tater Tots), and 4 Hawaiian Rolls. With BBQ places being hit or miss for me, I was surprised that I liked the meaty and tender ribs with choice of sauces. the beans, and crispy tater tots with lots of ketchup. For next time, I would not order the collard greens as they were quite watery and soupy. As for service, I would have to say it's not particularly friendly or hostile. If you spoke Spanish, I'm sure there would be more conversation or pleasantries. On the day we dined, there weren't that many patrons, thus, plenty of outside dining. Without hesitation, I would definitely return and maybe even try their Harris Ranch burgers.

The very definition of off the beaten path, why wouldn't you want to eat bbq at a saloon....adjoining a golf course? All honesty, a 4+ for the food, but the customer service pushed it to a 5. In a small setting, three different people checked on us asking what we thought of the food....almost as if these were restaurant workers with PRIDE in what they serve. Very nice people. Also...you order in the "restaurant section," but eat in the saloon..a rustic setting with a fireplace. I've been to Texas, and nothing tops Texas brisket. This place, however, probably is the best brisket I've had in California. You can taste the smoke, but you DON'T need a knife to cut through it.....you barely need teeth. The chicken was juicy, but like the brisket, the pork ribs were fall off the bone and some of the best I've had in California. The sides were good...not great, but good....but the meat is AMAZING. They also have independent soda flavors (not coca cola or pepsi), which were good as well We took a chance, loved our bbq lunch....and we're not even golfers. Highly recommend for authentic bbq

This could be sunnyvales best kept secret! Love going here. However park closer to the putting area to avoid golf balls hitting your car.

We enjoyed the food truck so much at a night market that we decided to go to the actual restaurant today. The location was a bit out of the way, hidden in a golf course. But it was nice and quiet. Inside was empty with a bit of indoor seating and a nice patio outside. We got the 1/2lb plate of brisket, with caesar salad and beans, and the loaded tots. The brisket slaps! It was so juicy, I picked up a piece and it was just dripping. The sauces included were great. Caesar salad was also good with fresh lettuce. Loaded tots were also good; loaded with toppings.

Ordered The Motherload for a family dinner, im glad they do doordash. Order came in a large foil tray and was well packed, I liked that they put the brisket and pulled pork in their own little foil wrapping since they were very juicy (and you want to keep that!). The ribs were the star of the dinner though, plenty to feed 4-5 people. They were tender and delicious, brisket was also very good and soft. Their bbq sauces weren't too sweet and was a nice touch, the dark brown one and red ones were the best imo. I wish they had a spicy sauce too. The spicy sausage was really good and spicy too, I would get more of that next time. My family isn't a big fan of bbq chicken but it was also tender and flavorful. I think this would be our go to bbq spot! coleslaw and potato salad were pretty standard & good, but tater tots are my fav and im so glad they have em!

Solid bbq find in the South Bay! First heard of them from their food truck at PayPal Park for Bay FC games. If the truck is there, this is our go-to. The smoked chicken nachos are a huge portion, and really good ballpark food. The burgers are also the best value in the stadium. Really great quality, big burger. Underrated for sure. As for the golf course location, this is a little hidden gem. I got brisket per the recommendation of the staff and wanted to try a rib. Tbh, my brisket was on the too fatty side- which is hard for brisket since you want it fatty. But of my 1/2lb portion, almost half was inedible. However, the meat was tender, good smoke ring, delicious bark. So I maybe just got a bad serving of otherwise above average brisket. Rib had good flavor, but not as tender as I'd hope. Still very good. Their regular bbq sauce is a good balance of sweet and savory, and compliments their dry rub spices well. Overall, a good bbq experience and I will be back to try more things.
